Summer Tutoring Program

The Summer Tutoring Program is a free tutoring program to help children in the Hikes Point and Buechel Neighborhoods who need special assistance in developing their academic skills in areas such as reading, math, etc. The program is free in that most of those served in this program would not be able to afford to pay for a private tutor. This is made possible by the efforts of many volunteer tutors.

The program starts one week after the end of the Jefferson County school year and operates through the end of July. The program runs Monday through Thursday from nine until noon. Individual tutoring sessions are one hour in length and are all done with a private tutor. The individual sessions start at 9 a.m, 10 a.m, and 11 a.m.

Should you wish to learn more about the Summer Tutoring Program please e – mail Donna Kenney at dkenney@franciscenter.org.
